I recently had to design a logo for a client and I turned to Adobe Illustrator CC 2015 for help. The program’s vast array of tools and features made it easy for me to create a professional-looking design. I started by sketching out some ideas on paper, and then scanned them into Illustrator to use as a reference. I used the pen tool to create clean, crisp lines for the logo, and the shape builder tool to easily combine and manipulate shapes.
One of the features I found most useful was the ability to easily create and edit gradients. I was able to experiment with different colors and opacities to find the perfect combination for the logo. The ability to work with multiple artboards also came in handy, as I was able to create variations of the logo to present to the client.
I also used Illustrator’s text tools to add the company name to the logo. The program’s text options allowed me to easily manipulate the font, size, and spacing to create a cohesive design. I was able to align the text perfectly with the rest of the logo using the align tools, ensuring a professional finish.
